You Can't be Everything to Everyone EZ-Poly Limitations
When Great Just isn't Good Enough

EZ-Poly works great under most conditions, but here is where we ran into limitations. If you find a solution to any of these problems, please let us know and we will publish it!

Polyethylene and Polypropylene: EZ-Poly does not bond to polyethylene or polypropylene. If you use EZ-Poly on these plastics, then it will pop off if pressure is applied to the bond.

Flexible Surfaces: EZ-Poly is strong, but not particularly flexible. If you use EZ-Poly on a flexible surface, it may peel way as the surface bends.

Lacquers: EZ-Poly does not take lacquer for either wood or metal. The lacquer simply fails to cure. We are working on this limitation, since EZ-Poly is an excellent filler and provides strength to spare.

MEK: EZ-Poly is unaffected by most solvents (gasoline, alcohols, acids, bases, etc...), but it is affected by prolonged exposure to MEK. After several hours of exposure, blistering will occur and the cured EZ-Poly will take on a rubbery consistency. Once EZ-Poly is removed from the MEK, the blisters go away in a few minutes. Within 24 hours the EZ-Poly will reharden.
